The company L’Oréal, a société anonyme with a capital of 119,689,042 Euros, with its registered office located at 14, rue Royale, 75008 – Paris (France), registered in the Trade and Companies Register of Paris under the number 632 012 100, e-mail address pr@loreal.com (hereinafter "L’OREAL") is organizing an international competition on the site www.reveal-thegame.com designed to promote the recruitment of new interns, trainees or apprentices within the Group.
By participating in the competition REVEAL BY L’OREAL, the Participant accepts these rules without reservation (hereinafter the "Rules") as well as the terms of use of the Site.
The provisions of these Rules will be applicable to the Competition organized at an international level. It is understood that the competition REVEAL BY L’OREAL may also take place at a national level at the discretion of the Human Resources departments of the various countries. If applicable, Participants may thus register cumulatively both for the international Competition and the national competition. In such event, their participation shall be subject to the specific conditions defined by the Human Resources Department of the country. The Participants will be informed of the prizes to be won and of the possibility of participating in an event B-REVEALED by the Heads of Human Resources / of Recruitment of the countries involved, either by e-mail, or through their dedicated local site.
ARTICLE 1: DEFINITION
Within the scope of these Rules, the expressions herein below shall have the following meanings:
"REVEAL BY L’OREAL Committee": Body responsible for the organization and monitoring of the Competition comprised of François de Wazières, Head of International Recruitment, Aude Desanges, Head of HR Communication, Christian Klein, Project Head, Valérie Férial, Project Head.
"Cycle": Period of twelve (12) to eighteen (18) months representing the period of the Competition.
"Dimension": Means the three (3) categories of evaluation comprising the Competition and detailed in Article 2 of these Rules.
"L’OREAL": Means the company organizing the Competition.
"Skill(s)": Professional area(s) offered within the scope of the Competition and comprised of: Sales, Marketing, Finance, Research & Development, and Operations & Logistics.
"Participant": Person fulfilling the conditions of Article 3 and who is participating in the competition REVEAL BY L’OREAL.
"Human Resources": Employees of the companies of the L’OREAL Group responsible for Human Resources / Recruitment at a national level and/or for a geographic zone.
"REVEAL BY L’OREAL" or the "Competition": This competition entitled "Reveal by L’Oréal".

ARTICLE 2: DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPETITION REVEAL BY L’OREAL
REVEAL BY L’OREAL is an online educational competition, reflecting the L’OREAL universe. It permits the Participants to discover L’OREAL and its Skills and obtain a formal and developed evaluation of their suitability for the management culture of the L’OREAL group and will help them in identifying or specifying their career preferences. The goal of the Competition is to be selected for an internship in a preferred Skill. For such purposes, the Participants are invited to play and discover the cosmetics sector while they must obtain the best score in terms of points.
REVEAL BY L’OREAL makes available to the Participants the internet tools available on Web 2.0. The Competition is based on an evaluation of the managerial and technical abilities of the Participants. The Participants may gain points in three Dimensions:
1. THE GAME: It relies on an entertaining, realistic and didactic scenario, with enigmas to be resolved, hidden clues to be found and a network of participants to be created;
2. EVALUATION OF L’OREAL MANAGERIAL ABILITIES: It relies on a combination of timed responses to specific questions, in a professional environment, and of cases with precise figures to be resolved;
3. EVALUATION OF CAREER PREFERENCES: This career planning tool is complemented by an educational content for each Skill. It is based around fixed technical questions as to a Skill and an open question.
The return of the Evaluations as to L’Oréal Management Ability and of Career Preferences must be considered, by the Participants, as a collection of indicators measuring abilities uniquely sought and developed by L’OREAL. Within this framework, L’OREAL cannot guarantee the complete reliability of results which relies upon the visible portion of the abilities and capacities of the Participant.

ARTICLE 3: PERIOD OF THE COMPETITION
The Site will be accessible from 11 January 2010 for an indeterminate period.
The Competition will take place in a Cycle and will permit the recognition of one Participant per calendar year, as well as the best students by Skill. The Competition for the year 2010 will commence on 11 January 2010 and will end on 11 January 2011. It is specified that no time constraint will be imposed upon the Participants.
Cycles, also named as Seasons, may be imposed by countries as a function of their local constraints with respect to recruitment and the academic calendar.
L’ORÉAL reserves the right to shorten, modify or cancel at any time the Competition, in particular in the event of bugs, viruses, unauthorized human interference or other causes outside the control of L’ORÉAL, which bring into question the administration, the security or the proper functioning of the Competition.

ARTICLE 4: PROCEDURES FOR PARTICIPATION
4.1. Conditions for participation
REVEAL BY L’OREAL, a competition that is entirely free and without obligation to purchase, is open uniquely:
• To persons that are majors and at least 18 years old officially registered with a school or a university within the scope of higher studies (including students preparing a thesis or a doctorate and the students in specialized masters (Master of Business Administration)).
• To persons that are majors and at least 18 years old with a higher education diploma and a professional experience of less than or equal to 2 (two) years.
• To persons that are minors officially registered with a school or university within the scope of higher education subject to the condition that they have obtained consent of a parent (or from the person holding parental authority) in writing prior to any registration. Such written authorization must be sent upon first request to L’OREAL accompanied by proof of identity of the signatories of such authorization. The failure to provide such written authorization shall result in the disqualification of Participants that are minors. In this regard, at the time of their registration, Participants that are minors must tick the box appearing in a window as of the validation of their registration.
In all circumstances the following may not participate: (i) members of the personnel of L’OREAL, including persons conducting an internship or an apprenticeship within L’OREAL and (ii) persons having collaborated in the organization of REVEAL BY L’OREAL, as well as their respective families (i.e. the persons within the same household for tax purposes).
Participation in the Competition is strictly personal and limited to a single participation per household (same name, same mail address, same telephone number) throughout the period of the Competition. The Participant may in no event participate for the account of other persons.
4.2. Procedures for registration
Registration and participation in the Competition shall be exclusively made on the Site.
The Participant must mandatorily complete the following steps:
• For access to REVEAL BY L’OREAL, the Participant must connect to the Site on which all of the steps to be undertaken for their registration and their participation in the Competition are explained;
• The Participant may then be invited to place a photograph online representing them. This must be in conformity with known formats (jpg, gif, png) and must not exceed a maximum size of 500 kb. More generally, any Participant is prohibited from publishing a photograph as to which the content could be (i) prejudicial, menacing, illegal, defamatory, unauthorized, abusive, injurious, malevolent, inciting of violence, of racial, religious or ethic hatred, vulgar, obscene, infringing on rights to privacy or image rights, (ii) representing a third party or permitting their identification, without prior express authorization (iii) infringing on the rights of holders of marks, texts, photographs, images, videos, etc.
• The Participant must then complete the registration form made available online on the Site mandatorily using the alpha roman alphabet and completing in particular the following mandatory fields:
• Pseudonym, password, family name, forenames, date of birth, e-mail address, address, country if you are not already the holder of an account for the Site, it being specified that:
• The Participants must register under the family name and forenames set forth on their identity documents;
• The use of any professional e-mail address is strictly prohibited;
• The password chosen by the Participant cannot be modified subsequently.
• Login and password if the Participant already holds an account on the Site.
• The Participant will then be invited to inform them of and agree to these Rules through an opt-in.
Their participation will not be validated until all of such steps have been duly accomplished. The participation of the Participant will not be definitively accepted until after validation of their online registration by the REVEAL BY L’OREAL Committee.
The Participant agrees to fill out the registration form in good faith, in the knowledge that any inaccurate or incomplete registration will not be accepted. The Participant agrees that the data that the Participant communicates to L’OREAL will be accurate and shall act as proof of their identity and the Participants must immediately inform L’OREAL of any applicable modification in such data.
Finally, L’OREAL informs the Participants that participation in the Competition may in no event be deemed to create a contractual relationship with L’OREAL or one of its subsidiaries, and in no event an employee relationship.
On the other hand, at any time in the Competition, Participants who have applied to L’OREAL may be recruited for an internship or apprenticeship within a division of the L’OREAL group.

ARTICLE 5: FUNCTIONING OF THE COMPETITION
The Participants will follow a scenario which develops as a function of the decisions taken and the answers given. The objective is to obtain the highest score when the Competition finishes. The analysis of the results will be made in real time and is recorded in order for the Participant to be able to manage their time in the Competition.
Each Participant will obtain a personal and formalized response as to their performance.
The final score will be calculated based on the results obtained in three (3) Dimensions and of the time incurred to finish the Competition based on a mathematical algorithm, as follows:
• On the time incurred to finish the Competition:
• Time incurred to respond to the questions indicated as being timed during the course of the Competition.
• On the results obtained in the three (3) Dimensions:
• L’OREAL Managerial Ability score: 5% (two hundred and fifty (250) points maximum);
• Professional Abilities score for a Skill: 5% (two hundred and fifty (250) points maximum), i.e. for all of the five (5) Skills 25% (one thousand, two hundred and fifty points maximum) ;
• Game score: 70% (hereinafter "Game Score").
The Game Score shall be calculated in relation to:
• Score as to the decisions taken over time: three thousand, five hundred (3,500) points maximum;
• Reference score as to online social networks as a function of the number of new Participants invited: one thousand, four hundred (1,400) points maximum;
• Score for speed in resolving the puzzles (50%) and responding to the questions as to suitability for the L’OREAL culture (50%): one thousand, four hundred (1,400) points maximum;
• Additional bonus for the hidden clues: seven hundred (700) points maximum.
In the event of doubt relating to the calculation of the final score, the Participant is invited to use the "Help" area available on the Site.
All days and times mentioned in the Rules shall be deemed to be days and times within the Paris time zone.
To finish the Competition, the evaluation of at least one Skill, within the scope of the Evaluation of Career Preferences, is mandatory.

ARTICLE 6: DESIGNATION OF THE WINNERS AND PRIZES TO BE WON
6.1. At the international level
L’OREAL shall recompense six (6) international Participants per Cycle: The winner of the Competition and the five (5) best Participants per Skill.
The selection of the winner of the Competition shall be made on the basis of all of the scores obtained and the analysis of the open question, posed at the end of the Competition. The winner of the Competition will be the Participant that has obtained:
- the best total score during the Competition;
- the best response to the open question posed at the end of the Competition.
The selection of the five (5) best Participants per Skill shall be made between the twenty-five (25) Participants that have obtained:
- the best scores per Skill;
- the best overall scores in the Competition;
- the analysis of the response made to the open question tied to the Skill. This response shall be studied by the REVEAL BY L’ORÉAL Committee, composed of managers of L’OREAL.
The criteria for selection and the details of the score shall be sent to the finalists by e-mail. The decision made by the Jury shall be firm and final.
Each of the six (6) winners will benefit from the following prize:
- one (1) Premium trip to Paris for 5 (five) days all expenses paid for one (1) person including:
• the flight from the country of domicile of the Participant to Paris in tourist class (taxes included, at the exchange rate applicable as of the date of payment);
• stay in a 4-5 star hotel during the period of the trip;
• meal expenses throughout the period of the trip;
• transfer by taxi from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the headquarters of L’OREAL.
Such trip will not include:
- drinks (with the exception of the dinner cocktail);
- personal expenditures;
- more generally, anything which is not expressly referred to in the description of the prize hereinabove.
It is agreed that each winner must hold a valid passport.
In addition, they may be invited to an IN SITU event B-REVEALED, organized by the headquarters of L’OREAL.
B-REVEALED is a Human Resources event which is intended to present the 5 Skills through explanations by the managers of L’OREAL, specialists in such skills. In addition, workshops for evaluation of managerial abilities and Skills will be organized in order to enrich the experience of REVEAL BY L’OREAL.
B-REVEALED is a two day event, organized by the Human Resources teams of the local countries. The Participants will be selected based on their recruitment needs and the scores obtained, during the Competition REVEAL BY L'OREAL. During these two days, the Participants will participate in the Skills workshops which will permit them to be evaluated, within the reality of L’OREAL with responses as to their performances given by the professionals in the Skills. 6.2. At the national level
The prizes will be established by the Human Resources teams for the countries.
REVEAL BY L’OREAL offers the possibility for the best Participants to participate at an IN SITU event: B-REVEALED. This meeting is optional and is dependent upon the decision of the Human Resources teams in the countries.
The Participants will be informed of the possibility of participating in a B-REVEALED event by the Heads of Human Resources for the countries in question, either by e-mail, or through their dedicated local site.
6.3. Procedures for attribution of the prizes
The winner of the overall Competition and the best Participants by Skill – at the international level, will be announced on the Site.
The prizes are personal and may not be attributed to any other person other than the winner and may not give rise to the delivery of their corresponding value in cash. L’OREAL reserves the right of substituting at any time for the offered prize, another prize of equivalent value.
The winners will be informed of their success by regular mail or by e-mail within a maximum period of sixty (60) days. L’OREAL will award the prize, if the winner (i) confirms the receipt of the regular mail or the e-mail within thirty (30) days, (ii) has correctly entered their address details at the time of registration or (iii) has complied with these Rules.
From receipt of the confirmation by the winner by L’OREAL, the winner will have a period of one (1) year to receive and use the prize won during the Competition. Beyond such period, Participants can no longer receive their prize.

ARTICLE 7: COMMUNICATIONS DURING THE COMPETITION
Communications between the Participants and L’ORÉAL with respect to the Competition will be exclusively made by e-mail. Any question with respect to the Competition must be addressed via the "Contact" page of the Site.
Participants that have received information related to the Competition, whatever its origin, agree to inform L’ORÉAL straight away.
The Participants will have the possibility of posing questions to the REVEAL BY L’OREAL Committee through the "FAQ" page of the Site. L’OREAL will do its best to respond to questions, but gives no guarantee of response nor as to the time for response to the questions posed. Furthermore, L’OREAL reserves the right not to respond to questions if it is deemed that a response would result in an unfair advantage for certain Participants.

ARTICLE 8: ORGANIZATION OF THE COMPETITION AT A NATIONAL LEVEL
The Human Resources at the country or geographic zone level may, at their entire discretion use the concept REVEAL BY L’OREAL to invite candidates identified during the Competition and to create multi-Skills events.
Such events shall be independent of the Competition.
The procedures for organization and selection shall be defined by the organizing countries or Zones.

ARTICLE 9: CONFIDENTIALITY
By participating in REVEAL by L’OREAL, the Participants may have access to information and know-how of any type, in particular commercial, financial, scientific, industrial or marketing, with respect to the businesses, operation and studies of L’ORÉAL. The Participants may also have access to information relating to individual employees of L’OREAL (hereinafter the "Information”).
The Participants shall take the required measures in order to keep the Information strictly confidential, with the exception of Information which is already in the public domain, throughout the duration of their participation in the Competition.

ARTICLE 10: TESTIMONY AND CREATIONS
The Participant may be invited to fill out a questionnaire in order to testify as to their impressions as to the Competition and/or the awarding of their prize. In such event, the Participant freely authorizes L’OREAL to reproduce, represent, modify, adapt (including by way of translation), transfer and distribute the testimony that the Participant may have given. Such authorization shall be valid for one year from the recording of the testimony via the Site, for the entire world and for all types of media (audiovisual, press, internet, etc.).
Furthermore, in the event that the Participant may have developed creations within the scope of the Competition, the Participant authorizes L’OREAL free of charge to reproduce, represent, modify, adapt, transfer and distribute such creations. Such authorization shall be valid for one year from the transfer of the creations onto the Site, for the entire world and for any type of media (audiovisual, press, internet, etc.).

ARTICLE 11: RIGHT OF PRIVACY AND PERSONAL DATA
In conformity with the provisions of Act No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 as amended, any person registered on the Site shall benefit from a right of access, rectification, opposition and deletion of data with respect to them. To exercise such right, it suffices for the Participant to send an e-mail, with proof of their identity to the following address: studentshotline@dgrh.loreal.com.
The persons who exercise the right of deletion of their data prior to the end of the Competition will be deemed to have renounced their participation.
The information collected within the scope of the Competition may be used for the purposes of commercial marketing, subject to having obtained the prior consent of the Participant via the box to be ticked included on the registration form.
L’ORÉAL has taken appropriate measures such as encryption technology, as of the collection of the personal information to prevent, to the extent possible, any non-authorized access. L’OREAL agrees not to communicate to third parties the information furnished at the time of registration by the Participants and not to use such data other than internally and within the scope of other recruitment tools managed and administered by L’OREAL.
Finally, in registering for REVEAL BY L’OREAL, the Participant has already authorized, free of charge, the publication on any media of their family name, their profile, their photograph for a period of 2 years. L’OREAL may also publish in any media whatsoever all results of REVEAL BY L’OREAL at any time for a period of one (1) year.

ARTICLE 12: LIABILITY
L’OREAL cannot be held liable for fraudulent use of the connection rights or the awarding of the prize of a Participant nor incur any liability whatsoever, in the event of force majeure or events beyond its control (in particular technical problems, losses or delay of the postal services, etc.) disturbing the organization and management of the Competition. In such circumstances, L’OREAL will so inform the Participants via the Site.

ARTICLE 13: COMPLIANCE WITH THE RULES
The Participant agrees not to transmit documents to or via such Site if the Participant considers them to be confidential. The Participant also agrees to take all necessary precautions to maintain the secrecy of the confidential information available on the Site during the Competition, if applicable.
Any document transmitted by the Participant to and via such Site during the course of the Competition shall be deemed to be non-confidential.
L’OREAL may, in its sole discretion, exclude or prohibit a Participant from participating if (i) they do not comply with the Rules, (ii) they act in a bad faith manner or are disruptive, and/or (iii) they do not comply with the Terms of Use for the Site.
All Participants are prohibited by L’OREAL from communicating their responses with respect to REVEAL BY L’OREAL.
L’OREAL reserves the right to commence legal proceedings against any Participant who attempts to destroy, disturb, damage or alter the proper functioning of the Competition.
Without prejudice to any legal process available to the Participant, disagreements with respect to or arising from the Competition may, subject to the consent of the Participant, be submitted to the REVEAL BY L’OREAL Committee.
These Rules are governed by French law and any dispute arising as to the interpretation of such Rules and/or the functioning of the Competition, shall be brought before the French court with jurisdiction.

ARTICLE 14: AMENDMENT OF THE RULES
L’OREAL may come to amend these Rules, in particular in order to comply with any new legislation and/or applicable regulations. Any amendment shall be the subject of an announcement on the Site and shall be deposited with a huissier identified in Article 15.
In the hypothesis that one of the clauses of these Rules may be declared null and void or inapplicable, this shall in no event affect the validity of the Rules themselves.

ARTICLE 15: DEPOSIT AND CONSULTATION OF THE RULES
The original of the Official Rules of the Competition and exhibits, deposited with Maître WAPLER, 45, Quai de la Seine, 75019 Paris, France, shall be the sole valid Rules.
The Rules may be translated into several languages. In the event of disagreement, only the French version shall prevail.
